Rabari Jacket: A Handwoven Cotton Layer for Everyday Wear

I first had the Rabari Jacket sampled last spring in collaboration with RJ Label By Rashi Jain, and I’ve been wearing it on repeat ever since. It’s one of those pieces that fits easily into everyday life - across seasons, across settings - because of its color, relaxed shape, and versatility. Made from breathable handwoven kala cotton, it has a subtle texture that adds depth without feeling loud. Light cotton batting gives it structure, and hand embroidery from Kutch adds a layer of craftsmanship that you can feel without it being overwhelming. It has the ease of a go-to jacket, with the depth and character of handwoven textiles.

What I love about it the most is how it feels to wear. It’s soft, comfortable, and cozy - like a warm layer that doesn’t weigh you down. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been asked about it. It’s subtle but distinct, and it always leaves me feeling put together.

I’ve found myself styling it with just about everything - skirts, jeans, pants, and dresses. I’m typically a size M/L, and the fit is roomy enough to layer a vest or sweater underneath, or wear it under an oversized coat, which makes it especially easy to wear through changing seasons. The relaxed fit works across a range of body types, and it's a piece that naturally pulls an outfit together without much thought.
