"I’ve always had a special connection with clothing. I’ve enjoyed mixing and matching pieces in unexpected ways for as long as I can remember. Settled in Boston now, my style definitely reflects my upbringing in India. I like to incorporate rich textiles and colors into my everyday dressing, adding a touch of nostalgia and bringing back fond childhood memories.
Growing up, clothing was customized, preserved, and not meant to be mindlessly consumed. It was meant to be restored, and held on to for future generations to enjoy. My own wedding outfit was upcycled using embellished motifs and laces from my great grandmother's saris, and I’ve re-worn it for every other family wedding over the past decade.
Through Cottedge, I hope to encourage consumers to buy with intent, and in ways that honor the skilled makers, and uplift and nurture artisan communities.
If you’re equally passionate about unique, thoughtfully crafted garments and goods, I’m excited to share this journey with you. Thank you for being here."
