Designed in a relaxed, open-front kimono-style silhouette, this reversible jacket features the abstract patterns of Achada (uh-CHAA-daa) on one side and a classic block print on the other. The fabric has a rustic, woven texture you can feel, without being stiff or heavy.
Achada is the cloth placed beneath fabric during traditional block printing in India to catch excess dye. Print after print, it absorbs layers of color, slowly becoming an abstract painting of its own. Once it can no longer be reused, it’s typically set aside or discarded.
We give these hidden treasures a second life by turning them into clothing. Each piece carries a trace of the art left behind.
Roomy enough for layering over a tee, button-down, or your favorite pullover, this jacket pairs easily with jeans, skirts, and dresses. Keep it simple with neutrals, or have fun mixing prints if that’s your thing!
